Attention all classmates of RMHS Class of 1957!!!!
Our 55th reunion celebration is less than a year away.
We appologize for any confusion about dates in our August mailing. All dates are for 2012!!!
The committee has been working for the past several months planning your reunion. At your request, we have planned another weekend of fun reminiscing and renewing old friendships. You should already have the dates on your calendar - Friday, June 29, 2012 to Sunday, July 1, 2012. For those who have never attended a reunion, ours just get better and better - we look forward to your support, enthusiasm, and attendance.
The reunion will be held at the Holiday Inn Select in Woburn beginning on Friday with a casual social evening and a dressy dinner dance on Saturday evening. As always, we will keep the cost as reasonable as possible. We will also gather for breakfast at the hotel restaurant on Sunday morning to say our goodbyes. We have blocked rooms at the hotel at $125 per night plus tax. The hotel is now accepting reservations for the reunion
(781-935-8760); be sure to tell them you're with the Reading High School class of '57 reunion so you receive the reduced rate. It's not too early to make your weekend hotel reservations - don't get caught with a higher rate or no room available. We will have a hospitality suite, which will be open Friday and Saturday afternoons, as well as after the Friday and Saturday evening functions.
For those who will be extending their stay in the Boston area, the Tall Ships are due to be in Boston the first week of July. If you've never seen them, it's an awesome sight. We'll try to get specific viewing information and will put on our web site. Let us know if there are other areas of interest, and we'll try to get the information for you.
We're asking all classmates to look through their old photos, etc. from your school years (not just high school). We would like to scan your pictures, articles, etc. and make a DVD to be given out at the reunion. Originals will be returned to you safely. Details on where to send your memorabilia will be included in our next letter.
Keeping up with current addresses is not easy. PLEASE let us know when you have an address change; an email address will also be helpful. This is a frustrating job and we don't want to miss any classmate.
We hope you will be with us on June 29 and 30, 2012 to help make your 55th Reunion a smashing success. You'll be hearing from us again next winter with reservation information, along with the questionnaire for our reunion yearbook. Stay well and safe.

50th Class Reunion Weekend, June 2007-
The 50th Reunion was held at the Woburn, MA, Holiday Inn Select.
We had a golf outing on Friday at Hillview Country Club in North Reading.
Friday evening at the Hotel was casual.
There was a tour of the "new" Reading Memorial High School campus on Saturday.
Saturday evening's banquet began at 5:30 P.M. and we had dancing until closing.
The hospitality Suite at the Hotel was open before and after the festivities on both Friday and Saturday evenings.
Breakfast followed on Sunday morning at the Hotel.
All who attended were glad they didn't miss it and said they had a great time.
